After being accepted into an out-of-prefecture high school, Suda Gen moves to the countryside to live in a temple run by distant relatives. Gen has apparently been there before, but he was too small to remember. There, he stays with Koterasawa Chion, an older girl that is accustomed to the hard work and quiet of living in the country.
